How do I sell my iPhone to Swappie?

Start by filling in the sales form on our website. You will get an initial price estimate and a printable DHL Express shipping label that you must use to send your phone to us. We pay the shipping fee. Then pack your phone carefully and don't include any accessories, such as the charger, headphones or the original box. They don't affect the price and we cannot resell them. Shipping the phone takes 1–3 business days. Once we receive your phone, we will inspect it within 3-6 working days. If the phone's condition matches what you have stated, we will make the payment directly to your bank account without contacting you for confirmation. If its condition differs from what you have stated, we will contact you with an updated offer, which you can either accept or have us send your phone back free of charge. The initial price estimate is valid for 2 weeks after you have filled in the sales form, so please send your phone to us within this time.

How does the sales process work?

Pack your phone carefully in a box and padded envelope and attach the label. You do not need to send us any accessories. Once we receive your phone it will be checked and inspected. If the phone is in the same condition as stated on the sales form we will proceed with payment. If the phone’s condition does not match the sales form we will contact you with a new price. You can choose to accept the new price or we can send the phone back to you free of charge.

Can I sell my phone if it is locked to a network provider?

Accepted Answer

No. In order for us to inspect your phone it must be unlocked from any network service provider. If you suspect that your phone is locked to a provider, then please contact them in order to unlock your phone.

What do I need to do before sending my phone?

Accepted Answer

Before sending us your phone, please ensure that 1. Find My iPhone (FMI) has been switched off. 2. The phone has been erased. 3. Your phone is unlocked, meaning that it is not locked to a service provider. 4. You have removed the SIM card. Once this has been completed, simply pack the phone in a box and padded envelope. Then attach the DHL Express shipping label we have provided. From there you can schedule your DHL Express pickup.

Can I send my phone via An Post?

Accepted Answer

No, you must ship the phone with DHL Express using the shipping label we have provided. Do not post the package with any other courier or via the post office, as we cannot cover the shipping fees or track your package through these services.

How do I book a DHL Express collection?

Once you have completed the sales form, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to book a DHL Express collection.

Can I cancel my sale?

Accepted Answer

If you have filled in the sales form but no longer wish to sell your phone to us, you can simply keep the phone and not ship it to us, thus cancelling your sale. If you have already shipped your phone, you may cancel the sale at any time before your phone has moved to the payment queue by contacting our customer service.

How do I sell more than one phone?

If you wish to sell more than one phone, you must fill in a separate sales form for each of them and pack them separately. DHL permits only one phone per package due to restrictions on the number of batteries per package. Please match each shipping label to the corresponding phone so we can process your sale correctly. And don't worry, we always cover the shipping costs!

How is the quote for my phone calculated?

The initial price estimate is calculated based on your description of the phone's condition, as well as the cost of potential repairs. The phone’s model and storage capacity  may also affect the price. This price estimate is subject to change upon inspection. If the phone's condition does not match what has been stated on the sales form, you will be contacted with a new price. Please note that the offered price is valid for 14 days after you have filled in the form.

What if I am not satisfied with the price?

If you are unsatisfied with the initial price estimate, you can decide not to sell us your phone. If we have inspected your phone and it is in worse condition than you indicated in the sales form, we will contact you with an updated offer which you can choose to accept or have us send your phone back free of charge.

Do you do trade-ins?

We offer our customers the convenience of trading in their old iPhones towards the purchase of a new device, allowing them to upgrade while receiving a fair value for their previous device.

Why don't you buy my model?
